It was an auspicious beginning for a day filled with wind, rain and a brief flurry of snow.
I traveled to the Muckleshoot Casino perched above the City of Auburn to celebrate once more with my fellow Veterans at a breakfast sponsored by the good graces of the Muckleshoots. What a feast was put forth for our gallant veterans.
The VFW was well represented with vets from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, vets from Desert Storm, and the War in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I believe I saw medals displayed ranging from Medal of Honor to Honorable Discharge (what has been called the "Ruptured Duck"). As a nation, as a country, we cannot and I will not forget my fellow veterans!
